Traveling and need to update my roaming.

Any ideas on how to manually update my roaming? I know *228 won't work for the thunderbolt and apparently the PRL is supposed to automatically update but I've been in Long Island for a few days and have no service. I updated my wife's Droid with *228 and now she has great service. I am currently running PRL 15061 on liquid gingerbread 3.1v. Any suggestions?
