Not sure of the USB interface, but does the Mac have a card reader? Either way you could put the file on the SD card.

Worse comes to worst, you could just email it to yourself, then open gmail through the mobile browser and save the file.

I couldn't get my mac to transfer either. It would recognize my droid when i mounted the sd card, but you could not browse it in a folder view. Luckily I have windows installed on the mac too, and it worked perfectly on the windows side. Just did a folder view of the sd card and draged everything over to it that I needed.

My mac is able to open the sd but would not accept if I drag a jpeg from desktop to the folder
