Transfer pics from Photos to Gallery

So I prefer the Gallery app to the Photos app, and I just upgraded my phone. So my pictures backed up to the Photos app, is there any way to move them to the Gallery app?

I have never tried this....but you could probably try coping the photos from the Photo app, which I think it cloud based, to your phone memory or sd card...after that they should show up in the gallery.

I thought about doing that, any idea on how to copying those pictures?

I am not sure exactly.....I am seeing on my Note 4 you can select a picture, press the three dots in the top right corner and then select download. This should download the picture to your phone. There should be a way to view those pictures in your gallery app as well. Which phone do you have?

Do you have a file manager app? If so then just go into the photos app folder select the pics you want and move them to you DCIM folder.

I do on the computer, Droid file transfer, but I couldn't find the files there. I have a Droid turbo, I'm checking out that three dot thing now

I just looked, there's no photos folder. I never used the app. So nothing shows in your gallery?

Absolutely nothing. Plus while were here, my contacts were taken from my google account, but they were very incomplete. I see all of my contacts on the verizon cloud app on my phone, how do I move those to my "people" app (contacts)?

For contacts you should be able to sync to phone then sync to Google

In your gallery app is it at to camera roll or albums?

Sorry, what do you mean? My contacts were on google, i'm just trying to get them from the Verizon Cloud to my contacts app.

And when I open my gallery app, all it shows is a button to open the camera. On my old phone it was in certain albums I believe.

If they're all on Google they should sync automatically.

Well, they did sync when I first got the phone. But it was an incomplete list, I noticed when I didn't have my dad on the contact list. So I looked on the verizon cloud, which had a much more extensive list, and what I believe to hold all of my contacts. How do I move them onto my phone?

Try going into the people app and import from storage. If that doesn't work try import from sim
