Rooting Nexus devices is super easy. Normally all you need to do is unlock your bootloader, and flash recovery to your device, then simply flash the SuperSu.zip to gain root access to your device. This is a pretty simple process for the rooting veterans, however for anyone who is new to all of this it can be a daunting task. It does require a bit of knowledge of how to use adb. You also need to have the SDK installed on your PC which can be another difficult task for the beginner. There is now a much easier way to root your device. Developer "Cryten" has released a toolkit that will allow you to quickly and easily root your Nexus device. You can root the Nexus 4/5/6/7/9 and Nexus 7 2013 with this toolkit. To root simply check the box next to your device and then click the "Start Rooting" button. There is also an option to unlock your bootloader in the toolkit. Head to the link below for the download.
