Titanium Backup/Dropbox

I dont understand the dropbox feature within titanium backup. Will it upload stuff that i have in a certain folder (on my droid) to my dropbox automatically? If so, how do i tell it which folder to upload from.

I don't really understand it myself, but what I think it is is that you can have backups uploaded directly to dropbox. So theyre always safe. Hopefully someone who knows better will jump in and clear things up
