This will sound dumb but.. Mounting the phone in a car without car dock?

I would like a way to mount my phone in my car without using a car dock. I already have my GPS mounted to my windshield, and don't like the idea of having an additional dock.

I would like my phone to be easily accessible so that I can pick it up to make calls or change the song on my Pandora..

Are there any alternatives? My phone is to big to fit in my cupholder. :blink:

gonna have to macgyver a dock or holder for it. You must have a small cup holder lol. Best this I can think of is get velcro and a spare cover to tape the other side of it? Hope you know what I'm talking about...

As you can see from the pictures, you don't have to use it in the car, anywhere basically, and it really works well.

Depending on your vent locations, a vent mount might work for you.

If you have a flat enough spot somewhere on your dash or console, you can get one our those sticky pads kind of like this and then mount your phone with it right on the dash. Easily removable.

Well, I'm actually getting a pad and a stand from Capta: Stick it, Lean it, Wrap it, Attach it. by UDS (Unique Design Solutions) — Kickstarter as a backer. Seems pretty cool. They've already started production, but I think you can still get on board as a backer to get one.

Did you check the link I posted? It looks like for $6 you can get just a pad, if they are still accepting backers.
