Any way this can be done? i'm a big fan of white status bars now that black status bars are all that can be found lol

If you dig in Pete's Bugless Beast Rom (under Droid 1) you can grab one out of there, only thing is your notification ticker is white text, so you'll see notifications come in, but with the white background you will not see the text, which is why a theme that has been created using the white bar may be your best bet.
