The Weather Channel, old version

Their newest update screwed things up big time. It force closes randomly and refuses to start. It's as if it needs to check your location with the gps/wifi before it will start up correctly. Plus, the fact that it's more cluttered now with less info shown, requires extra tap to see the nowcast and weather alerts. What a mess! I finally had enough and uninstalled it.

Does anyone have the older version (with the old UI) before this major update?

I had the same issues. The fix is to completely uninstall the new app, and then reinstall it from the market.

Uninstall and reinstall didn't work for me. I wouldn't mind having the -1 version as well.

I too have given up on this once great app =[[

My work involves a lot of driving and the original version helped me out a lot when dealing with crazy weather.

with no older version to downgrade to, I am forced to go with the Weatherbug app.

The Weather Channel apps appear to not work with any of the Gingerbread roms.

I didn't like the new one either. I read somewhere about another app that was the old WeatherChannel . I have it now, try Dish Network Weather, it is the old WeatherChannel.
