I guess everyone loves the name "Thunderbolt" these days :)

Anyone feel like owning a phone called "USB" or "FireWire" or "HDMI"?

For the record, if I was getting a phone today, I'd get a Thunderbolt.

This belongs in off-topic.

Sure thing. But I think HTC Thunderbolt owners should be aware that there might be some legal confrontation between some corporations over the "Thunderbolt" name pretty soon.

Doesn't anybody hire attorneys to check names or trademarks anymore before launching major products?

Htc and intel don't make similar products. A connectivity medium and a cell phone, while both tech related, are not in the same market. And intel's thunderbolt isn't an individual product a consumer can buy.

Consequently, there is little room for market confusion and no case for a trademark suit. If there were, it would have already come up.

I'll add, I recognize that some people are beyond clueless when it comes to tech, but if you're dumb enough to buy a thunderbolt cable for your htc thunderbolt, you deserve the embarassment at the return counter.
