text to multiple people at one

On my old voyage I could forward a text to multiple people in my contact list by clicking forward,add contact and scrolling thru my contact list...is there a way to scroll tru my contact list when in a text message thesame way as my voyager?

I have the Motorola Droid (original). When a new message is started, you start typing a name from your contacts, select the contact, it goes straight to the text box. Well, if you select the To: box again, you can continue to select more recipients.
