Text Messaging While on the Phone

Is there a way to view and answer a text message while on the phone with the DroidX. Sorry for this stupid question, but I am a newbe, moving to the DroidX from the HTC Imagio.

yup just use speakerphone

while on the phone press the home key and you can do anything you could except use internet

Browse Web and talk on the phone

You can also talk on the phone and browse the web at the same time if you have wifi turned on ;-)

Just slide the status bar down and click on the text. Us the return key to go back alll the way or enough to slide back up.
