Text messaging maximum?

Anyone know the maximum number of contacts you can text at one time? I was just trying to text 32 contacts and couldn't get it to do anything after I selected all of them from my contacts list.

The most i've texted at a time was i believe 10-12 and had no problems (on chompSMS)

It's just the standard text messaging app that came on the Droid X.

I think I maxed out at 20 at a time on New Years Eve.
