I am looking for a text app that will not document which numbers I am texting on my verizon bill. Is there any such app?

I just installed a new app for text messages but it wont let me delete the factory text app so when some sends me a text message the both pop up. Is there a way to disable the stock app?

Go to the stock messaging app. Go to all conversation threads. Press Menu-->settings and uncheck notifications.

Actuality it didn't work I clicked on notifications and unchecked it and both the old and new texts pop up in the notification tab up top. What can I do?

Just as an FYI you DON'T want to get rid of the stock messaging app. I believe most 3rd party ones use it for something or the other. Or they used to anyways.

Your right about that TJ because.I checked. It out just in case and when I delete a message from the stock one it also erased it from the new add on!

Third party text messaging apps pull your text messages from the stock app therefor the stock app must stay. Disabling notifications should work. I don't know what messaging app you installed but I use GO SMS and when I installed it it asked me if I wanted to make it the default and disable notifications from all other messaging apps.
