Tethering from the X is the bomb. Best phone so far. Wish it had the front face camera.

Download easytether on ur phone and ur pc, then connect ur phone to ur pc and u r in.

EasyTether will run a free version for a few weeks then there is a one time charge of 10$. There's another one pdanet that also has a free trial and then its 30$. Both will still work after trial without paying but you cant load http's

Eh I usually am connecting an iPod or other device that I can't connect my Droid to so that doesn't much help. Eh I was just spoiled by Barnacle.
