Which way do you want to do it? Through wifi or through a usb cable? and yes, if you use an extreme amount of data for wifi, not sure about usb though.

I used USB on my old phone and I was paying Verizon to do it, but now Tethering isn't available through them with the Droid. So I am game for everything, but USB most likely.

Oh, I forgot to say it's free. I doubt it as you do not even need to be rooted to use this. You could go check with other more knowledgeable members if you want.

anyone have any experience with easy-tether and could advise me as to which one is better? I believe they both have a fee for us with https sites, just wanted to see if anyone had experience with both for a comparison, and didn't want to start a new thread.

I've only used Pdanet. I have never had any problems with it.

Yeah, I've noticed time and again people recommending pdanet, so I was curious as to the quality of easy-tether. Seems like the free versions do essentially the same thing, although the paid version is a bit cheaper for easy-tether, so if I need https, I'd like to get some opinions first before I try to save some money.
