Tethering and contacts

Our company changed to the Facinate last week. The two questioins I have are.
1, How do you tether the phone to a laptop for Internet access?
The company president uses tethering when he can't get to a hot spot, which happens to him frequently as he travels a lot.
2. Our outlook contact list are currently only getting the users contacts, not any of the companys exchange\Outlook email address book.

I use PDANet from June Software to tether. It works well and is not too expensive ~$15.
