What should I do? I spilled crazy glue on my x..still functional but the cosmetics look horrible.. I have a rooted phone. Can I get a replacement X n if so how do I go about it?

Try a Q-tip moistened with nail polish remover. That is supposed to be able to clean off Crazy Glue and has worked on fingers before for me so it should work on a Droid X. Just be patient, let the Q-tip rest on the glue for a while and let it soak in being careful not to let the liquid drip into any cracks or crevices on the phone. It might take some time to soften up but should over time.

OR, you can try chipping it away with a fingernail. The Droid X is relatively smooth and maybe you can get it to pop off by trying to scrape at it. Nothing stronger than your fingernail though! Don't want to scratch it.

I have not looked at the insurance documentation lately and I doubt dripping Crazy Glue on it would be covered but you never know. If you have insurance, I'd definitely look through what's covered before going that route.

Let me know if the fingernail polish method works out.

Hey thanks.. I'LL TRY THAT AS SOON AS I GET HOME!!!! Good idea

Be careful with the polish remover. If you use an acetone based remover it could damage the plastic case as well.
