Guess what T-Mobile Galaxy S4 owners! Starting today, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will roll out to your device! Of course, keep in mind that these OTA updates go out in batches, so if yours doesn't come today, just give it a few days. It's at least starting the process today. Alternatively, you can go the manual update route by using the Samsung Kies desktop app.

Here's a breakdown of relevant info regarding this rollout:

  • 387-megabyte update
  • KitKat (build M919UVUFNB4)
  • Improved stability
  • New camera shortcut on the lock screen
  • Improved on-screen keyboard
To get this update you will need to be on software version M919UVUEMK2, of Android 4.3. You will also need at least a 50% charge on your battery.

Can't understand why Verizon has not been able to release this update when every other carrier has. Hell the Nexus 7 had it months ago. I heard from friends that they hire the worst techs at Verizon which is why they are always last with everything. Sad when the largest carrier is beat out by TMobile. Says something about their business model.
