Syncing photos to PC

Hello, I'm 61 yrs old with my first smartphone. I have had my Droid X for about10 months now. I joined this Droid Forum when I first got it and found the forum quite helpful, however, I forgot my log in so had to rejoin. My problem is with sycning my photos to my computer. I've done this in the past but now the same method no longer works. I don't know if something changed since the "big reboot" about a month ago when a lot of other changes took place on my phone. I plug in my USB cord, open Windows Media Player, click on Droid X and Manage my Device. Then, it says I have no new pictures!!! I have a new grandson and I have a ton of new pictures! LOL! Can anyone help me get my pictures from my phone to my computer, PLEASE???

I did but it was very difficult and downloaded pictures I had already downloaded so now I had to go through and delete all the duplicates. Plus, the picture itself didn't show up on my computer so I had no idea which photos I was downloading. There has to be a better way!!!!!
