If you have been missing Swype on your Samsung Galaxy Nexus, you may not have to wait much longer. Of course, many users have been able to use third-party community based "workarounds" to get it working with their G-Nex, but now beta testers will soon be seeing an end-of-month beta from the company. It shouldn't be too long after that before we actually see an officially launched version. Get your slider finger ready!

Been using it on EncounterICS on my DX and haven't had any issues except that the phone's dictionary and its own built in dictionary don't talk to each other.

I wonder if that means they'll start updating on the phones where it's pre-installed.

Any thoughts on whether to take off the existing swype to get the 'official' version?

does the beta not count as official, or do you mean official for OEMs
