Switching to wifi

Anyone else having the issue of when streaming audio or video that when the phone switches from wireless t to wifi that the streaming need to be restarted?

I assume by wireless you mean 3g/4g. When you switch the data stream coming into your phone from 3g/4g to wifi you have interrupted that stream. Two different radio's, two different "ports", so yes, you're going to have to restart the source of your data I would imagine.

I could be wrong, but I can't understand that the OS could seamlessly keep a data stream from being interrupted when you change the source.
