The Verizon and AT&T variants of the Note 4 have been rooted now for about two weeks. The current and most widely used root method "Kingroot" comes out of China and seems to be a bit shady. It uses a proprietary exploit to gain superuser access and installs Kinguser which manages root access. It has been reported that this app could be sending your personal info like your phone's IMEI back to china while it roots the device.

There is now a new root method that still only provides temporary root to Note 4 devices running KitKat, but uses the well known and trusted SuperSU app by developer "Chainfire". This still requires you to first run the KingRoot app to gain root, but then the script will delete the Kingroot app and all associated files. Once Kingroot is uninstalled and deleted SuperSU is installed and you are good to go. As this is still just temp root there is no write access, and any changes you make will be lost with a reboot. That being said this is better than nothing at all. Find all the files you need and full detailed instructions at the link below.
