Super AMOLED PLUS or QHD?

dancedroid I am just confused. Which do you think is the better display Super AMOLED plus or qHD found on Droid X2?

Both have good contrast ratios because the droid x2 has an IPS display. The difference between AMOLED and IPS is personal preference.

That's news I didn't know they DX2 had an IPS screen. If true that's pretty sweet especially with the QHD resolution.

Typically what I've seen said about the Amoled is it has greater contrast and much richer colors. However, the QHD display will be sharper, because of its higher resolution screen, so text on a website for instance will be more readable zoomed out.

Supposedly, the other variances should only be slight e.g. energy consumption, viewing angles (if the DX2 really is IPS).

My preference is for the higher res on the DX2.

The original droid x has one and I would expect complaints in side by side comparisons if the x2 didn't have one. But all reviews of the new screen are positive.

I still like qHD. I need me some pixels and battery life!
