Anyone have any issues with any of the apps they have downloaded stealing their contact information?
To be clear, I didn't download a lot of apps. The ones I did were from legit apps such as Amazon, Soundhound, etc.
However, I have to believe that one of them "stole" my contact information. Since I got this Droid X, the shear number of telemarketer calls I have received is through the roof. I never had this problem before with my previous phone with the same phone number. The only way I have been able to attempt to stop it was to create a contact entry with the default going straight to voice mail.
Before someone fires off on me, I have registered my cell number with the Federal do not call number but.... that doesn't stop it b/c what ever it is keeps morphing and or changing the incoming number so its a new number ever time hence they aren't technically violating the do not call law.
has anyone experienced this?
