Stuck on motorolla load screen after update?

I did an update on my Droid X, and after the install the phone restarted to the motorolla screen and I figured it was just installing or setting up the update but after 25mins I got tired of it and took the battery out and tried to do it again, and its stuck in it again, I tried to do a hard reset with the power button and the home button. but it doesn't do anything. I dont think the phones freezing. Its just stuck the screen, because i still get text messages, and it still vibrates when i touch certain parts of the screen.

I really dont want to take my phone in, but im lost for ideas right now.

I did the update on mine this morning and it is also just sitting there on the start up screen for about an hour now. Im leaving out of state tomorrw... think i might be taking it in today.
