stream video to X

i have numerous movie files on stored on my computer, all in h264 format. i stream them to my ipad through the web browser by accessing them through an apache server. whenever i try and watch them on my x it says that they cant be streamed even though i could copy them over and they play fine. i tried rock player but the video was slow and out of sync with the audio. any solution for this? i prefer not to have a server running if i dont have to...thanks for any help.

I'm not sure if this would make a difference but...what browser are you using? Maybe something as simple as changing the "user agent" of the browser could fix this issue for you. Try downloading dolphin hd/mini, or any other browser with that ability. Just change it to desktop or iphone/ipad.

Im using the stock browser but I tried dolphin mini with the user agent changed but still got the same error.
