Straight Talk on Custom ROMS

Ok, running Gingerbread .605 on rooted X and cant seem to get straight, up to date answers on flashing custom roms. Seems first of all most how to's or demo's are outdated and don't cover latest rom versions. They also seem to contain alot of items that no longer work after flashing. I'm looking stability, battery life, cool effects, and a nice launcher. Currently running Go launcher EX with Cyanogen theme. Don't relish the fact of factory reset and not sure how to back up everything so I can recover after flash.

The best way to back up and restore your data is with Titanium Backup.

it is actually quite easy to get straight talk ont a droid x. the method involves questionable ethics so i cant tell you how to do it on here but you could pm me and i will give u a hand doing it. i have had my droid x on straight talk for a while and its pretty sweet having unlimited 3g and such.. its got some pretty good speed.

or if you were talking about custom roms in general get the droid 2 bootstrapper apk and install clockworkmod and then install ur mods from there
