Stock Browser Problems

I have a non rooted orginal Droid Razr. I use the stock browser and find it works very well. I have no trouble out of it most of the time, but one particular website gives me trouble.

I am a student and I occasionally have to log into my schools website to access my financial aid, class schedule, etc. When I use my home computer the page opens and after about 5 seconds a login box appears on the screen for me to enter in my username and password.

When I try to log into the website on the razr however, the link i clicked on tries to load for maybe 2 seconds and then it stops loading and it is just a white screen. It never gives me the option to log in on the razr like it does on my laptop. Any ideas what could be the problem? I have tried allowing popups but it didnt help. If it matters the address is a secure website.

Thanks in advance

The fact that the site you are trying to log into is a secure site is the issue. The stock browser will successfully interface with most secure protocol, but the school may be using a propriatary system not recognized by the browser. You could try a different browser like Dolphin...it free in Google Play. Or, take your Razr to the school IT department and see if they can recommend a solution.

Isnt google chrome supposed to be available on the ics update for razr?

If so maybe that will fix the problem because I use Chrome on my laptop and it works fine

Yeah, when the Razr gets ICS then Chrome will work. Until then try Dolphin or Opera browsers and see if they work. I would also go to the school IT department. They may not have their servers configured correctly. You shouldn't have a problem logging into their sites.

He should actually talk to the schools IT guy. I had this same issue when i was studying commercial music 2 years ago. The schools website did the same thing. They're just not mobile friendly.

And now you have to be able to log on to the site to get updates about finals, your grades, messages from some of the teachers who won't correspond with you outside of the school system.

My answer was to get in through the school email server, but it only worked for the first semester. They changed something over the break and i could no longer gain access except through a PC or a tablet.

DROID RAZR MAXXAMIZED!!!

Yeah... don't you love that?? I went to the school admin, you should too. I told them that there was no way that EVERY student could afford a PC. So they should make it so mobile web is able to access their site.

I had a PC, but I just like to start trouble lmao.
