may i ask how you plan to use this? I feel like the everyday android user doesn't have a use for this

Well, spare time I repair/build computers for people, this could prove to be useful.

I know a lot of people who never carry cash on them (im one of those people) so money owed will be easy to retreive etc.

Now an everyday android user? Nah, I'll say about a 1/4 of droid users will have a use for it, but then again, paypal was only useful for those who used ebay, now look at it, it's one of the most common methods to pay by on the internet.

No Square allows you to take credit cards in business. You get a swipe adaptor that plugs into your earphone jack. There are no monthly fees and the setup is free. They will most likely start you with a low limit (like $100 a day or so) and raise that as you go. The per transaction fee is very reasonable. This is a must for service people and small business operators.

The limit is low atm for everyone from whatb I read till they update their underwriting...whatever that means

They also hold onto 14 days of charges and keep it in a no-interest account in case there is a chargeback fee. To me, that's a deal breaker.

Square Up not as good as you think

My first and last transaction on squareup has not been a good one. I was promised the payment would be in my bank account in 2-3 days MAX. 24 hours after swiping it was supposed to be in my bank and 1-2 days after that it would be cleared in my bank account. It has now been over a week and im missing my $1000. The "tech" is saying theres no problem, some take a while. Thats not acceptable, my client is mad and took his business elsewhere.
BIGGEST RED FLAG, I CANNOT FIND A PHONE NUMBER TO THE COMPANY, IT IS NOWHERE ON THE WEBSITE, ONLY EMAIL. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR MONEY.

To answer your question about limits.....

The first $1000 of the week will be in your account within 24 hours, then 1-2 days for your bank to accept. anything over $1000 in the same week will be put on hold for up to 30 days.
No daily limits though.

The day I got it I swiped my card for a $1.50 transaction and it has yet to show on my card. I have not used it since. a few months. ED

Just got mine in today. Gonna try it out tomorrow more than likely. I have hi hopes for this this thing and if it works like they say, its gonna be awesome!

I have used it twice...
one for a $220.00
and one for $380.00
and both took two business days to go through. I couldn't be happier:rockon:
