Sprint's Galaxy S4 Hits the FCC with Global Roaming in Tow

After we got word from T-Mobile that their version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV would be coming on May 1st, of course it got us wondering when we will see the device on the other carriers too. We still don't know the precise answer to that, but we at least are a bit closer. The Sprint version of the SGS4 was just spotted at the FCC. Here's a quote with the details,

The Galaxy S4 models spotted at the FCC are the SPH-L720 and the SCH-R970. The first one is awfully similar to Sprint’s Galaxy S3 model number (SPH-L710,) while the latter could be the Galaxy S4 version heading to U.S. Cellular and Cricket. The two carriers also stock a Galaxy S3 version, model number SCH-R530.

What’s interesting about the Sprint model is that it will sport global roaming support. The SPH-L720 comes with CDMA, LTE, GSM and WCDMA 850/1900 support.

Now that it has passed through the FCC, it shouldn't be too long before it comes to the Now Network. We will let you know when we have more concrete dates.

On a sidenote... It's exciting to see the Sprint SGS4 has global roaming included. How many of you guys travel and would be able to take advantage of this?
