Speedtest and download/upload speeds

When I run speedtest on my phone, while on 3g, my max download speed is less than 500 kb. Isn't it suppose to be between at least 3 to 5 kb?

I get 1.4 mbps down and 0.59mbps up which equates to about 175kb down and 74kb up.

Don't confuse megabits with megabytes.

Best I got so far is about 500 kb or half a meg while on 3g. Is there anyway I can get it to increase my download/upload. Will overclocking help that issue?

Where did you hear 3-5mbps? That is really fast.

Up to around 1 mbps for 3g, up to 5 or 6 with 4g...though they like to claim up to 12 mbps
