Speakerphone weakness

Hello,

I bought a Thunderbolt yesterday. So far, I've noticed that speakerphone quality to not be great, and it doesn't get loud. I really want a good speakerphone as I make use of it frequently. I'm wondering whether I chose the wrong phone.

Help? Thoughts?

I was surprised at how quiet the speaker was to. My old Droid...now my wife's..is much louder.

Well, it's good to know I'm not the only person who has experienced this.

Hmmm... are you able to speak with a normal voice and be heard clearly? How far is the phone from your mouth when you use the speakerphone?

Yeah, I'm all updated. Really, your speakerphone sounds louder after your phone updated? I thought it would be a hardware issue, but I guess it could be software, if it was not taking full advantage of the hardware's capabilities.
