Pretty much all of the myspace widgets are terrible. You'd have better luck just using the mobile website. Honestly I'm not even thrilled with the Facebook widget, as it lacks some features the mobile site has available. (IE not being able to see a friends entire information, relationship status, photos tagged etc)

For some reason Facebook never caught on as well as myspace in my area

I used MySpace exclusively for a while, but I just jumped to Facebook & I wish I had a long time ago. I've gotten in contact with several school friends that I haven't talked to in YEARS!

Facebook doesn't have the custom page options like Myspace, though. It's more like a mature version of MySpace.
