Yesterday, Sony officially revealed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be rolling out to their Xperia Z3 in February. They didn't give a specific date, but at least we have more than we did before. They still haven't revealed the rollout timeframe for Android 5 on any of their other devices like the Z2 an others, but we don't expect it will be much longer after the Z3 rollout. Stay tuned for more updates!

I'm using the unlocked Z3 on Cricket Wireless. I am also hoping that with the Lollipop update someone will discover a root exploit that doesn't require unlocking the bootloader.

This is great news. Hopefully Verizon won't hold it back and being that it will be another month hopefully the memory leak issue will be fixed by them from other phones that have been updated. Hope it also enables our talk and data feature as well.

I was under the impression the Z3 already supported simultaneous talk/data. Is this not the case?

The Z3v for Verizon at this moment does not have VOLTE enabled. The phone is however VOLTE ready. So no talk and data at the same time until software update comes out to allow it to work.

From my Z3v Baby!

Yes, I wonder :)... But I am sure it'll be you!

Actually, you might get it first. T-Mobile will have to bake in WiFi calling to 5.0 unless it's already built in the OS? We shall see I guess. I just hope neither of us have to wait too long.

I agree - I hope they roll it out quickly once available ;)...
