Something is killing my battery..."rild"?

So I have had my phone of the charger since idk, 10am or so. I have sent one text and player about 20 minutes of Flick Golf. I just notice that my battery is down to 40% already. So I looked at my battery Info and See "rild" using all my resources. So I restart and its still there. Here is my list...

rild - 46%
Android OS - 32%
Wi-Fi - 10%
Phone Idle - 4%
Cell Stanby - 3%
Display - 3%

When I click on "rild"...

CPU total - 3h 27m
Keep Awake - 2m 45s
Data Sent - 89kb
Data Recieved - 188.25kb

Included Packages
Orientation Notifier
com.motorola.setupwizard.phoneservice
com.motorola.hiddenmenu
com.motorala.phoneaddons
Programming Menu
MdmMoveNotice
Dialer Storage
ConnMO
Phone
SIM Toolkit

I havn't installed any new apps the past couple days, and its the first time I have seen this "rild" in the Battery Info. I am pulling this information from the basic Settings->Battery Information.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Yep, Thanks found it after posting... I know I should have searched before posting so you can smack me on the hand... :)

I ended up turning the phone off and charging to 100% and that seemed to stop it.

rild-slacker

When I looked at Slacker update this morning, I thought I had closed it. It ate my battery in 6 hours! I think you have to force close Slacker radio.

Hope the stinging sensation is finally wearing off...:p

No harm, no foul. As for RILD, it's a well-known, very well-disliked issue and there is lots of speculation about what and how it works or doesn't, but even Moto hasn't taken a position on it yet. There is one thing that you've discovered works, reboot. Whether it works for a short period of time or it works for extended or forever, this is the only thing that people can point to which has actually shown results.

Good luck!
