Some Android Questions

I'm contemplating coming back to Android after getting an iPhone with my wife, but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to:

My iPhone plays audiobooks in the m4b format (from iTunes, mostly renamed m4a files) and it remembers exactly where I was when I unplug it from my car. I like that. I have heard that there is an audiobook app that will play these files, but does anyone know if it remembers position like that?

I can plug my iPhone into my car directly through the radio (through USB), can I do that with Android yet?

I know I can just keep my iPhone for these things, but it would be useful to only carry one device.

I've actually been looking for something similar myself. Something where you can get similar to iPhone integration, where you can play music and charge at the same time also. Haven't found anything.

Well, the headphone jack (while not ideal) will certainly work for that. It just requires 2 cords rather than 1.

I have seen radios that have Android integration, but they're home radios and I haven't looked too closely to determine how it works.

I'm really more curious about the audiobook issue.

That and whether I really want a S II Skyrocket or HTC Vivid or if I want to go back to another iPhone.

What I use is a single cord. It has the headphone jack on each end. My car radio had a headphone jack in on the front

Not sure what phone you are interested in but, I have the droid maxx and the car dock with a usb cord with the audio cable built in. Not a true "1 cord" solution, but you only have to put the phone into the dock without having to plug anything extra in. Works great, but it only works with the car dock, I think. My sister with her iphone 4s was impressed.
