software update always failing on my droid 2

alright so my droid 2 will not install the newly updated software update for the droid 2..my phone is rooted and i think thats why i do not knw how to completely unroot my phone ive tried deactivating my phone and having it start from the beginning when u get it out of the box but my boot logos dont go away and the clockwork recovery is still there...can anyone help me compeletly unroot my phone so i can get the new software update please

Your best bet is to sbf. You can find tutorials on this site.

It sounds like your phone has bricked. Mine stalled on the boot screen and wouldn't go any further. I had to do a complete wipe and then reinstall all of my apps.

can u send me a link to a tutorial on how to do that i keep tryn to do this stuff and it never works idk wat the ****s goin on...so if u can show me how to get it off the boot logo screen thatd be very helpful

My phone is not rooted and I can't get the update either and I tried the sbf and even that's not working. any other ideas on what to do?
