So What did Your Droid Do Today? (Christmas 2009)

OK OK so I am a geek but whatever. So I got my son this remote controlled spy camera video robot which is possibly the coolest toy ever.

Of course I had to strap the droid to the back of this thing and take it for a ride. I was able to live stream to qik for awhile but the connection was a bit flaky. I set the video camera and took some video. Chasing the cat (jump to about 7 mins) was pretty entertaining.

I picked up one of these Spy Robots:

for $100 a few moths ago. Works great and you can control it remotely. The software is open source and the hardware is an erector set, so the possibilities are endless.

bar codes, wikipedia fact checks to see if my uncle was b.s.ing about stuff, family photos, gameboy roms for when i got kinda bored, a podcast, checking out my cousins neighborhood in manhattan on google maps, damn...all kinds of stuff! droid is by far the best tech device i've ever owned!
