Maybe the July 27th rumor was really for the X2.

I would have to agree with this since people who aren't as tech savy as us confuse the droid x as the og droid lol. Possible since this is a droid 2 global, they got it confused for the droid x2.

It makes perfect sense that the dx2 would be prioritized higher than the d2g when it comes to gingerbread... There's probably some overlap between the development teams working on each phone. Hopefully d2g is next in line. Personally, I'm not at all worried about getting left behind. Relax people.

With the amount of overlap, they more than likely do development on one Blurred repo. That would keep their proprietary (crap) interface consistant across platforms. Though if this were the case, then we'd see less of a staggered rollout across platforms.
