Our friends over at AndroidAuthority were able to get a quick hands-on with the U.S. version of the Samsung Galaxy SIV complete with a few benchmarks, and the results may surprise you. First, from their report they confirmed that the U.S. version of the SGS4 does indeed get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz CPU and Adreno 320 GPU. What is interesting to note is they achieved some excellent benchmark results with this device. This could allay fears that the the U.S. version will somehow be neutered compared to the Exynos 5 Octa-core in the International version.

In the video at about the 2:00 minute mark you can see the device achieved a smoking score of 25,900 in AnTuTu and 3,157 in Geekbench! These are certainly impressive scores. Of course for a true comparison we will need to see scores with the Exynos 5 Octa-core based International version. Regardless, these scores show that the performance of the device should be everything that it needs to be. In the end, if it runs software smoothly, and does it in a way that is efficient on battery life, then what difference does it really make if it hits some higher raw numbers in benchmarks? A computing device should be about what it accomplishes for you and how well it does that. When it comes to software innovation, the Galaxy SIV easily impresses!
