Slow wake up timed on droids?

Ive noticed that both on my og droid and my x2. It takes a good 2 or 3 seconds for the screen to come on after I unlock it. Its an issue when I ha e to check something for my extremely impatient boss.

Is this a thing an issue with the entire droid line or an issue with my phones?
