Slow/Lagging Camera Button

Every time I press the big red camera button on the side of my droid x sometimes it takes like 5 seconds to come up and sometimes it doesn't even come up at all. I know when its going to come up because when I push it will slightly vibrate and the camera will pull up 3-5 seconds later. But sometimes when I push it it doesn't come up at all and I have to manually go into the menu and select the camera icon to get it to come up. Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Same prob. here I dont bother with that button any more I just press the camera icon it lags as well but I find it more dependable

I have a D1 and I quit using the external button because it lags & sometimes doesn't work too.
