Can someone tell me how the slider hinges work?

I'm guessing you are asking how it locks? Open the keyboard and look under the screen under a light. You'll see that it's in 2 metal tracks, that when its fully open/closed click into place. Pushing it pops it out and pushes the metal down until it slides to the other slot.
