Slide Lock

Anyway or app out that offer one to choose not to have the lock slide everytime the screen times out?

Thanks

mylock

Free in the market.

Downloaded it but it doesn't seem to run smoothly for me.
When i choose the home button its goes to the slide screen for a few seconds.
Is that what its supposed to do?

Also I use Screebl and it appears at bootup it deactivates mylock.

There are 2 app's the one that says widget it actually the applications and the one that appears to be the application is the widget, strange isn't it?

Any direction?

Thanks

I have used that, yes it goes to the lock screen for a little... but for me it was like for maybe 0.3 seconds tops - maybe it might have stayed up for near 2 seconds once or twice or somehting... but I never had much problems myself. With mylock that is. yesss.

Screen Mode Widget provides the same functionality without the "flash" behavior of MyLock. However, it also enables the user to awaken the phone with the volume and camera keys. Some people like that; others find it to be problematic in increasing the likelihood of "pocket dialing" (or at least "pocket wake up.)

Screen Mode Widget also enables a mode to keep the screen from going to sleep, at all. If you use Screebl, however, that behavior is overridden.

Choose your poison.

No Lock

^This for sure. No Lock is a great app that doesn't "flash" the lock screen, it goes directly to the home screen with no hiccups. There is also a widget that can enable the lock screen or disable if you want to go back and forth. The only issue (non-issue for me,) is that the volume and camera buttons turn on the phone and there is no option to disable that (I actually use the camera button quite often to turn it on). Not a big deal seeing that you can easily re-enable the lock screen. If they update with an option to disable these buttons, this will be by far (if not already) the best "no slide" app out there.

Yes, it was a problem with a bad update last week. It has now been fixed.

So far no lock looks to fit what I am looking for.

Just would like it to auto set when reboot or power on's.

Other than that its a winner.

Oh, but I installed last night, has it been updated since 1900 yesterday?

That's odd. The developer rolled back the change that produced the problem and I haven't heard of anyone else continuing to experience it. If you hadn't uninstalled the problematic version perhaps the upload you did last night didn't take.

I'd recommend uninstalling/reinstalling and then power cycling your phone to see if that resolves the problem.

OK I will un-install and re-install but I did a fresh install yesterday.
I removed the app 2 weeks back because I installed Screebl, so I dont know.

Thanks

Not directly on point, but I use Screbl as well. You may already understand this, but just in case:

SMW has three settings:

"Sleep Auto": This is the default Droid setting. In effect SMW does nothing.

"Awake Stay": This is the setting to skip the lock screen. Screebl will operate normally and turn off the screen or you can turn it off manually. When you press the power/volume/camera button, the screen should wake up and return you to where you were when the screen went off.

"Screen Stay": This SHOULD keep your screen awake and override the timeout to darken the screen. HOWEVER, if you have Screebl, it trumps that behavior and darkens according to the Screebl rules. Thus, it makes Screen Stay operate exactly like Awake Stay.

P.S. I have NO idea why the developer selected such odd names for the three settings.

Yeah I set "Awake Stay", or at least try to, but after a bit it defaults back to "Sleep Auto".

If it didnt then all would be well.

Thanks
