Droid2 will be called "moto ghetto blaster". Be prepared.

Same problem here with the bass distortion. It's just with Slacker - mp3's played through the media player play distortion-free. Even with volume turned down on the phone it sounds like hell on my home theater and in my car. Kind of sucks that I paid for a Slacker subscription to primarily use on my Droid and it sounds like there's a farting symphony in the background of every song.

I'll check to see if wi-fi connection helps the issue. But even if that does remedy the problem at home, it doesn't really help the car situation.

BTW, you all probably already know this, but you can minimize distrotion by not taking the volume on the droid too high. I try not to go above 70% or so, and then I fine-tune the volume on my car stereo or headphones.

Slacker's bass still sounded horrible when I did the above, but I just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who finds distortion on all audio, including MP3s on the droid's SD card.
