Skype for Android

Has anyone tried Skype, the app in Google Play? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Yep, it works fine over 3G, 4G, and WiFi.

Note: I have not tried "Skype Mobile on Verizon".

But has anyone had this experience? Is it normal? I haven't tried it since the posting.

I tried Skype Mobile as well as Skype on my laptop to a Skype Mobile with Verizon. I did howerer encounter squelching and some buffering. Both using Wifi and Verizon Mobile.
A friend advised me to try Tango. LOVE it! Works on same premise.

I gave Tango a shot and wasn't thrilled. I didn't like the fact that it automatically hijacks your contact list. Also, if there was a way to sign out, I couldn't find it. They make it a real pain in the butt to close your account also. It's not as simple as removing the app from your phone and there is no way to do it online. You have to send them an email requesting that they cancel your account and hope they get around to it in relatively short order. Not impressed at all.
