Developer "MarkSkippen" has just updated his Skip Toolkit for the Nexus 6 to now support all versions up to Android 5.1. There are also many more features that have been added to the toolkit! The main change here is that TWRP that the toolkit uses has been separated, one version for being installed to the device another version for when the script needs to run adb commands. The version of twrp that is installed to the device will always be the latest available version. Other updates include 5.1 stock image added for returning to stock or unbricking, ability to root all versions of Android including 5.1, no force encrypt option, unzip root file changed with stock recovery added for OTA prep, and more. I have been using SkipSoft's utility since my Galaxy Nexus. I would recommend donating as the extra features are useful.
