Simultaneous voice and data works on 3G!

I was under the impression that it only worked if you were in a 4G area and I was on the phone while tethered to my laptop. I pressed the refresh button not thinking that I was tethered to my phone and I was expecting to get a "page cannot be displayed". Nope, it refreshed. I was kinda shocked at first, so then I downloaded an app from the market while on the phone. Sure enough, it downloaded.

Also, the store that I purchased my TB from said that Verizon is running a hotspot promotion through mid-April for unlimited data $20/month. Anyone else heard this? If this is the case, I'm signing up and cancelling internet at home, cuz Im only there a week of the month.

Yea, well he didnt even know that there was a free hot-spot till May, but I asked him if he was sure and he said yes. IDK but I hope someone can confirm this. I saw on Twitter this morning that AT&T is cracking down on illegal tethering, so I'm sure big red won't be far behind 'em.

Yes I was told the same thing. Apparently the "free" was a mis-print. The promotion is $20.00 for unlimited tethering until May 15th, then its $20.00 for 2gb. But once we able to root the TB we can tether for free anytime.

That makes more sense, but it better be free til mid May or I'll be calling Verizon.
