I was on the verizon website looking at some phones. I saw the droid x and was just clarifying that you can only buy the phone if you are the account owner. The person who will be the account owner is the one who pays for the payments correct.

Alright just making sure because i was on my account but i guess my dad is the account owner so i would have to go on his account to buy the phone correct? I noticed on mine it only showed my phone line but on my dad's it showed all of our phone lines which means he is the account owner right.

yes, just need to get his approval. If your credit isn't bad, you can break away, and start your own contract (1 year, 2 year) it is up to you...it comes down to the line number and renew date...they are exchangeable..
