Silence Notifications??

I know I've seen it mentioned or seen the Thread somewhere but can't locate it now: Is there a way to 'silence' notifications for EVERYTHING (ie e-mail) etc without shutting down the Droid2?? I will be on a Patriot Guard Riders mission tomorrow at Atlanta airport--bringing in body of a Marine KIA--and I don't want the D2 to say 'DROID' at an inappropriate time. I had the original Droid when it first came out and it said DROID while standing a Flag Line--got rid of the D1 (not for that reason--just couldn't get used to it)--went back to Blackberry--then the DINC and now the D2--LOVE IT!!

On the unlock screen, if you slide the slider the opposite way of unlock it will mute all sounds and make it vibrate instead.
